Ted Cruz: “My Tia Threw a Chancleta At Me”

About a month or so ago, I wrote about Ted Cruz ‘s Hispanic Problem, and it is one I continue to believe he still has. However, with the release of his new book, A Time For Truth, the junior senator from Texas and 2016 presidential hopeful seems to be attempting to solidify his hispanic credentials.

During an interview with Jorge Ramos, a well known Latino journalist and strong immigration reform advocate, Ted Cruz recounted stories about his father’s time in Cuba, and family stories about his “Tia Loca”
