He’s been a member of the U.S. Senate for less than two months and Florida Senator Rick Scott (R) is already calling out one of his Texas colleagues.
It’s true, everything in Texas is bigger, especially ego’s when it's regarding friendly competitions between amigos.
When HISPOLITICA recently asked Sen. Scott what he thought about Sen. Ted Cruz’s Lucchese cowboy boots, the freshman senator infatically stated, “mine are better.”
Scott also owns a pair of black Ostrich skin Lucchese boots, and in keeping with his competitive nature and reputation, of course Scott is going to poke at Cruz.
Scott did the same thing years back to then-Texas Senator Rick Perry. Perry and Scott became good competitive friends, as the two governors were entrenched in a friendly jobs creation arm wrestling match.
During the Perry/Scott years, Texas and Florida were #1 and #2, respectively, when it came to which state had the best economy, and how many jobs were being created.
With Cruz sporting significant facial hair these days, will Scott look to grown scruff and challenge him on who wears it best?
It could happen, right?
Cruz has not responded to HISPOLITICA’s request for comment about Scott assertion that he has better boots than his.
This could get ugly.
