When it comes down to who is the most anti-Semitic political player in America, Nation of Islam Founder Louis Farrakhan is by far the heavy.
Almost a week after Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) “unequivocally” apologized for the anti-Semitic comments she made, comments that were denounced by the entire Democratic Party and its leaders, Farrakhan took the stage to praise her and urged her not to apologize for her actions.
Here is what Farrakhan said to an arena-filled with his followers:
“Ms. Omar, from Somalia, she start talking “about the Benjamins.” And they trying to make her apologize. Sweetheart, don’t do that. Pardon me for calling you sweetheart, but you do have a sweet heart. You sure using it to shake the government up, but you have nothing to apologize for. Israel and AIPAC pays (sic) off senators and congressmen to do their bidding. So you are not lying. So if you are not lying, stop laying down. You were sent their by the people to shake that corrupt house. Shake it up!”- Louis Farrakhan
Omar failure to denounce Farrakhan’s suggestion to her, or his anti-Semitic views, appears to have prompted Georgia Rep. Doug Collins (R) to question what else the two agreed on.

But while Omar and groups like the Congressional Black Caucus have yet to throw Farrakhan under the proverbial racist and anti-Semite bus, other Republicans like Rep. Collins and Jewish Democratic members of congress have not.
Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently penned a scathing op-ed in the USA Today ripping into the Women’s March’s ties to Farrkhan and his Nation of Islam (NOI)
“Since that first march, I witnessed a disturbing spike in hatred aimed at Jewish homes, schools and synagogues in my own community. And with anti-Semitism and white nationalism apparently on the upswing in America and globally, the associations that Sarsour, Perez and Mallory have had with Nation of Islam (NOI) leader Louis Farrakhan have been most troubling.
NOI has been deemed a hate organization by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Mallory's attendance at NOI’s annual Saviour’s Day event last year was especially alarming.
It was there that Farrakhan said Jews were “the mother and father of apartheid,” and claimed that Jewish people are responsible for “degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out, turning men into women and women into men.”
Farrakhan has a long history of anti-Semitism. He has said that Hitler was a great man, compared Jews to termites, and tweeted about “the Satanic Jew and the Synagogue of Satan.” What is more, he does not hide his bigotry, regularly maligning women and the LGBTQ community.”-Rep. The Congressional Black Caucus once invited Farrakhan to an event they held with then-Senator Barack Obama in the Capitol.
