Over the weekend, there was much furor over a series of tweets President Trump directed at Democratic congresswomen to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”
In response, Democrats slammed the President and called his tweets racist. Now, Republicans are responding to the President’s words.
One Republican that isn’t backing the President is Meghan McCain. She directed a tweet at the President, telling him that “this is racist.”
This is racist. And I see Trump people are trying to spin this to just be about Rep. Omar, but we all know that’s a lie. But even if it were just about Rep. Omar, it would still be racist. We don’t tell people we’ve welcomed into this country to “go back.” https://t.co/v1uCPqCRVK

She added that “we don’t tell people we’ve welcomed into this country to ‘go back.’”
Highlighting that “Trump people are trying to spin this to just be about Rep. Omar,” she argued that “that’s a lie.” And, she expressed that “even if it were just about Rep. Omar, it would still be racist.”
Another Republican that is backing the President is Senator Lindsey Graham.
In an appearance on “Fox &Friends,” The Senator called Representatives Ilhan Omar (D), Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D), Rashida Tlaib (D) and Ayanna Pressley (D) “a bunch of communists” who “hate Israel” and “hate our country.”
He also called them “anti-Semitic” and “anti-America.”
Both Omar and Tlaib have faced heavy scrutiny in the past over comments perceived to be anti-Semitic, and former KKK grand Wizard David Duke even referred to Rep. Omar earlier in the year as “the most important member of the US Congress!”
In response, President Trump continued his twitter jabs by questioning “when will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said.”
When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them & their horrible & disgusting actions!

The “foul language” comment is implied to be referencing Rep. Tlaib’s comment against President Trump, saying that Democrats were going to “impeach the motherf***er.”
