Democratic Presidential Hopeful Stumps In Puerto Rico, But May Have A Big Problem

The race to become the next President of the United States is on, and both Democratic and Republican presidential hopefuls are courting minority communities for their support and eventual vote in the 2016 presidential primary elections.

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley will be the first presidential candidate from either party to campaign on the island of Puerto Rico.

“[O’Malley] was the first one to speak out and say Puerto Rico should have bankruptcy, like states [have]” said Gabriela Domenzian, the O’Malley campaign’s Director of Public Engagement, to Fox News Latino. “From the beginning of his campaign, Gov. O’Malley showed leadership in something that affects our hemisphere.”

But while O'Malley looks to show leadership by speaking out in favor of bankruptcy for Puerto Rico, Hispanics, as well as many others potential voters consider supporting him in 2016, may take issue with O'Malley over a recent apology he gave.

O'Malley recently had to apologize for his well-said  “Black lives matter, white lives matter, all lives matter" comment  that offended the Black Lives Matter movement.

There was no reason to apologize to a small group of extreme progressives who from the looks of it, believe that in today's society, only "Black Lives Matter," and that any other lives, including "Brown" and "White" ones, don't matter much.

The popular Democrat could have tough time convincing voters that he has the leadership to stand up against Puerto Rico's debt crisis, the fledgling U.S. economy, and foreign and domestic threats to the sovereignty of the United States.

With his submission to this small, yet very hostile group, is this sign of what Americans should expect from an O'Malley presidency, when dealing with the threat of radical Islam, or with other external and internal threats to the United States?
