First-term Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been attracting a disproportionate amount of media attention during the past few months thanks to a string of controversial statements, many of which have been real head scratchers even within her own party.

Not prone to measured remarks that don't attract the media's glare, Ocasio-Cortez is clearly not interested in merely going along to get along with her party's new House Majority leadership- she's instead aspiring to be a disruptive change agent with hopes of quickly ushering in a radical transformation of our economy.

Now, Ocasio-Cortez is partnering with the Progressive activist group Justice Democrats to challenge and ultimately remove from office those Democrats within their caucus that they deem as too "moderate."

Justice Democrats are targeting those Democrats whom they deem are not fully on board with the entirety of the progressive agenda.  While Ocasio-Cortez has recently tried to create space between herself and Justice Democrats, there's been speculation that her and her staff has been coordinating with the progressive activist group on the down-low.  There's now little doubt as to their fully coordinated efforts as Ocasio-Cortez was featured in an eight-minute video released by Justice Democrats where she states her and the group's intention to "transform the Democratic Party."

“If you're a one-term Congress member, so what?” You can make 10 years worth of change in one term if you're not afraid.” - Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

The centerpiece of Ocasio-Cortez and her allies' agenda is touted as a "Green New Deal" that would impose a 70 percent tax rate on the "ultra-wealthy", enact a massive program of investments in so-called "clean-energy" jobs and infrastructure, and ultimately de-carbonize the economy by bringing an end to the use of oil & gas and replace them with "green energy" sources.

Republican Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart told HISPOLITICA that Ocasio-Cortez's economic proposal was "destructive" and a national security threat to the United States.

Would this kind of fundamental change be good for our economy and the labor force?

How will senior Democrats react to a freshman Congresswoman who wants to fast-track a radical agenda?

Stay tuned....
