During his 2011 address to the controversial and racially divisive National Council of La Raza (NCLR), President Obama espoused his "spread the wealth" talking points and ideology that has divided the country since he was sworn into office in 2008.
The President said that the "American Way" is about "a people who believe in shared sacrifice," and that "we rise or fall as one nation."
That's what NCLR is all about, that's what the Latino community is all about-President Barack Obama
President Obama has long been a proponent for amnesty for all of the illegal immigrants currently residing in the United States. The new bipartisan immigration reform bill is exactly what the President has been looking, leaving many Americans concerned that the once staunch opponent of amnesty for illegal immigrants, and the face of the bill, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), is only pushing the President's agenda.
While President Obama was able to garner an overwhelming majority of the Hispanic vote in the 2012 Presidential election, is the "Latino community" really in line with the Presidents views that the "American Way" is about shared wealth and sacrifice?
