Spanish-language Univision News is reporting that Mexico is cracking down on illegal immigrant crossings across its southern border with Guatemala.
According to a 2014 immigration report, Mexico arrested 102,000 illegal immigrants from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador, down from the 239,000 captured by the U.S. border authorities.
Because so many illegals immigrants are being detained along Mexico's southern border, the amount of central American illegals immigrants being arrested trying to enter the U.S. will significantly drop, but what about all of those Mexican illegals who will continue their attempt to make it to the U.S.?
While Mexico is cracking down on immigration against central Americans, the Mexican government seemingly refuses to do the same along the U.S.-Mexico border.
If Mexico can severely punish and restrict individuals trying to cross into its country illegally, why can't the Mexicans do the same for those trying to leave the country illegally?
