The field of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates is growing, and it appears as if the candidates sole focus in what will be a highly contentious primary race, is to try to out-progressive one another.
From openly supporting the controversial and “radical” Green New Deal, to calling for the single-payer “Medicare for All” healthcare measure, Democrats are almost appearing desperate to secure the left wing of the Democratic base of the support.
Former Vice President Joe Biden, who is expected to announce his presidential candidacy any day, recently told an audience of Democrats in Delaware that he was the most progressive of “anybody who would run.”

When Biden jumps into the race, expect him to be at the very top of the polls. Biden is already leading the field of candidates as an undeclared candidate, but that could all change once he makes it official.
Then consider that Bernie Sanders and “Beto” O’Rourke, who are pitching their message hard left, will chip away at Biden’s base of support.
The latest Emerson poll in Wisconsin has Sanders leading the field by 15 points, while the average of all polls has Biden winning every single poll prior to the Wisconsin poll.
Polls are polls, but in the end, it’s about raising hard campaign cash. Biden will raise a lot of money once he announces, but will it challenge the $6.1 million O’Rourke raised in 24 hours, or even the $5.9 million Sanders raised in the same amount of time?
