Prior to the U.S. Senate voting on and defeating Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's "Green New Deal," Utah Senator Mike Lee (R) took to the senate floor to offer is own take on how to combat climate change.

Armed with a easel and picture poster board, Lee made a pro-family, pro-life statement about the "real solution to climate change," and dismissed the "un-serious" resolution.

Democrats question Lee remarks and posted the text of his one-minute speech, but Rep. Ilhan Omar mocked the senator by laughing at it on Twitter, perhaps in response to his and Republican's brushing-off of her friend's bill?

Lee's speech may not make sense to Rep. Omar, or other Democrats, maybe even some Independents and Republicans, but the freshman congresswoman needs to understand that showing respect to a fellow colleague in the congress will go a long way.

But wait, the video Omar was mocking was not of Lee's entire floor speech, poked fun at the entire "Green New Deal"
