Congressional Democrats are hard-pressed to find some reason to impeach President Donald Trump, and don't appear to want to work with him on just about any issue.
The argument can be made that if Democrats work work with Trump, or even give him one ounce of praise, the president will use it against them to win re-election in 2020.
Moderate Democrats over in the Senate like Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) may not always openly praise Trump's accomplishments, but do try to find ways of working with him on issues that benefit their respective constituents.
Manchin just stated that he knows Trump has great admiration and "love" for the coal industry and its workers, and asked him for his support to pass and sign a measure that would protect and "secure" the pensions and healthcare plans of retired coal miners.
.@realDonaldTrump, I know you love our country’s brave and patriotic coal miners. We need your support to pass the #AmericanMinersAct that will secure our retired miners' pensions & healthcare. pic.twitter.com/TnT80TvEiH

What's Sinema up to? Well, the freshman Senator is playing it straight down the middle like Manchin, and taking time to play travel agent for the state of Arizona. When she isn't making the case for the burrito to be declared her state'ss official food, Sinema is out promoting tourism to all corners of Arizona, including Tucson and the Grand Canyon.
