2020 presidential hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris continues to receive pushback after agreeing with a supporter that President Trump was “mentally retarded.”
During a campaign stop in New Hampshire, someone in the audience was addressing Harris and made the comment, which brought on a natural response from Harris.
Harris stated that she “didn’t hear the words the man used at that moment” and “would’ve stopped and corrected him” if she did. Harris apologized and said those words were never “acceptable.
But in reviewing video of the moment the comment was made, Harris did clearly hear what the man said, acknowledging him by saying, “well said, well said” as she chuckled.
With no other background noise, the man can be heard clearly making the “mentally retarded” remark.
