Controversial Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) took a defensive swipe at Rep. Steve King (R) after the Iowa congressman called her past claim that detained illegal aliens were drinking out of toilets “FakeNews.”
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez visited an El Paso, Texas detention center several months back and reported that illegal aliens being detained complained that they were forced to drink out of toilets.
"No way was @AOC objectively honest in her #FakeNews spin about the border,” he wrote of the congresswoman’s assertion about subpar conditions. “Clickbait for Snowflakes!"-tweeted King

Rep. King tweeted a video of himself visiting the same cell Ocasio-Cortez visited and drank water from the same sink/toilet configuration affixed against the wall, saying that the water he drank tasted “pretty good.”
Ocasio-Cortez took issue with the video and King’s tweets, responding with her own tweet calling him an “anti-immigrant” who risked contracting “pink eye to show off that they didn’t do the reading.”

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials have explained the allegations detainees have made about drinking out of a toilet.
Here a Tucson, Arizona Border Patrol agent drinks out of the same drinking fountain/toilet that Rep. Steve King drank out of at a similar facility in Texas.
